Our Mission

ROCK is dedicated to fostering amateur sports competition activities in the United States, including raising financial support for such activities, as well as establishing and maintaining an amateur women's flat-track roller derby team based in Lexington, Kentucky. ROCK is committed to the skater-owned, skater-operated philosophy in every aspect of managing and competing in the world of roller derby.

About Us

ROCK was founded in the summer of 2006. After a short-lived merge with a team in nearby Richmond, ROCK reformed as an independent league in Lexington, KY in the fall of 2007. ROCK held its inaugural exhibition bout in December of 2007 to a crowd of over 200 people in a local skating rink. In March of 2008, the first season was underway.

In January of 2012, ROCK was thrilled to move into its first permanent practice facility at The Bread Box in downtown Lexington.
